Unnamed Memory returns with second season

On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels "Unnamed Memory," a new promotional video for the second season of the project was revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for January 7, 2025 in Japan, and lists a snippet of the theme songs, including:

  • TRUE will perform the opening theme titled "Unsung Ballad," while Arika will perform the closing theme titled "Inclusion."

Unfortunately, the adaptation has been widely criticized for not properly adapting the content or "compressing it too much," something that has characterized recent productions from ENGI studios such as "Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru." and "Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs."

Kuji Furumiya began publishing the story in 2008, and later began publishing it as well on the Shousetsuka ni Narou service in September 2012. It later began its publication on paper through Kadokawa's Dengeki no Shinbungei publishing house in January 2019, and ended it in April 2021 with six volumes. Additionally, a manga adaptation by Naoki Etsumi has been published through Kadokawa's Dengeki Daioh magazine since September 2020.
