KonoSuba! sets a date for his return

On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels "KonoSuba: God's Blessing on this Wonderful World!", a new promotional video for the OVA of the third season of the project was revealed. The video confirms that the release is scheduled for March 14 in theaters in Japan, followed by a physical Blu-ray/DVD release on April 25. The latter would be the date on which it would arrive on streaming platforms, unless otherwise announced.

The statement also listed that this OVA will feature two episodes, which are described as follows:

For his part, Natsume Akatsuki began the publication of the light novels with illustrations by Kurone Mishima in October 2013, through the Kadokawa publishing house, and finished it in May 2020 with a total of seventeen volumes. In addition to the manga adaptation, the anime adaptation has to date a total of three seasons totaling 31 episodes and were produced by Studio Deen and Studio Drive.

Makoto Uezu (Gyakuten Sekai no Denchi Shoujo, Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha of Aru, Kengan Ashura9 returns to write and supervise the scripts.
Kouichi Kikuta (BLUE REFLECTION RAY, Tamayomi, Seitokai Yakuindomo) returns to take over character design.

Synopsis of KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World!

After suffering a ridiculous and pathetic death on his way back from buying a game, high school student and recluse Kazuma Satou finds himself sitting in front of a beautiful yet unpleasant goddess named Aqua. She offers the NEET two options: to continue to heaven or to be reincarnated in every gamer's dream: a real fantasy world! Upon choosing to start a new life, Kazuma is quickly tasked with defeating a Demon King who is terrorizing the villages. But before he leaves, he can choose one item of any kind to help him on his quest, and the future hero selects Aqua. However, Kazuma has made a grave mistake: Aqua is completely useless! Unfortunately, his troubles don't end there; it turns out that living in such a world is very different from how it plays out in a game. Instead of embarking on an exciting adventure, the duo must first work to pay their living expenses. In fact, their misfortunes have only just begun!
