They continue to 'squeeze' Shingeki no Kyojin

Fans of "Shingeki no Kyojin" are ready for a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience, where they can be moved freely during special screenings designed to bring tears to the fore without worrying about disturbing other moviegoers. According to the anime's official website, several theaters in Japan will host these "tear-shedding screenings" of the long-awaited final film "Shingeki no Kyojin: The Last Attack," which concludes the iconic series based on Hajime Isayama's manga.
The official announcement details: "To celebrate the great success of the film Shingeki no Kyojin: The Last Attack, we have decided to organize a screening where crying will be allowed during the film. Bring handkerchiefs and we hope to see you there!" However, they clarify that these functions are not for those who wish to enjoy the film in silence, nor are they classified as "projections to animate", which means that applauding, cheering or carrying typical items of events in Japan, such as colored lights or penlights, will not be allowed.

The performances will take place on December 4 and 11 in selected theaters. Tickets will be available at the cinemas' box offices from the Sunday before each screening, although sales hours may vary depending on the location. In addition, attendees should keep in mind that some media outlets could be filming the event, so there is the possibility of appearing in recordings.
For his part, Yuki Kaji, the voice behind Eren Yeager, recently shared the emotional challenges he faced while recording his lines for this final film. "It was in the summer of last year, around June. My son was very sick and I wasn't in good condition either. Interestingly, my voice worked right on the day of the recording for Shingeki no Kyojin, but the next day I couldn't speak. It was an exhausting experience both physically and mentally, but I think that was reflected in Eren. It was like putting myself in his place, going through my own hell while recording," said the actor.

The original "Shingeki no Kyojin" manga debuted in 2009 and ended in 2021 after 34 volumes. The globally acclaimed anime series aired between 2013 and 2023, culminating in two television specials that complement the final season. Over the years, several compilation films have been released, with "Shingeki no Kyojin: The Last Attack" being the one that puts an end to this legendary franchise.
