The presence of toxicity in certain fan groups can make those who are new to anime or who are exploring this world feel discouraged and even repulsed.
In these circles, behaviors such as overvaluing certain characters, harassing other fans who don't share the same opinions, and even inconsiderate spoiling of plots are observed. They openly criticize the mangaka, Hajime Isayama, as if they have the right to decide which character should live in the story. This community took things a little further by sending death threats to Gabi's voice actress just because they didn't like the character she played.
