The Idolmaster Shiny Colors Anime Will Have Second Season

The first season of the anime adaptation of The Idolmaster Shiny Colors is yet to be released, however, the production team has already announced that it will have a second season! This sequel is scheduled for release in Fall-2024 (October-December). It was also announced that it will have a preview as theatrical screenings in Japan on July 5.

Bandai Namco Entertainment released the browser game in April 2018. In this installment, players once again take on the role of the manager of a group of idols who compete against other players online through live concerts. In addition to the video game itself, the franchise has also produced other projects such as concert events, merchandise, CDs, and radio shows.
Production Equipment
- Mankyuu (Koori Zokusei Danshi to Cool na Douryou Joshi, Cinderella Girls Gekijou, Kidou Senshi Gundam-san) is directing the anime at Polygon Pictures Studios.
- Youichi Katou (Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Uchuu Kyoudai) is writing and supervising the scripts.
About The Idolmaster Shiny Colors
In Shiny Colors, the player takes on the role of a producer for 283 Production and manages a number of idols from different units. When the game was first released, the first four units were STARS Lighting, L'Antica, ALSTROEMERIA, and Houkago Climax Girls. Over the past few years, the game has also seen additional units: Shiny Colors' first anniversary adds Straylight, and Nocchill's second anniversary adds it. SHHis, a seventh unit, was added for the game's third anniversary.
