The most dropped anime of Summer-2024

Barely a month has passed since the start of the Summer-2024 season (July-September), and according to MyAnimeList's records, we can already see which are the most "dropped" anime so far. With around four episodes airing for each series, we're right at the point where the popular "3-Episode Rule" comes into play. This rule indicates that many fans usually decide whether they will continue watching a series based on whether the first episodes convince them or not.

There are several factors that can lead someone to decide not to finish watching a series:

Plot development: If the story fails to hook the viewer or if it is perceived as slow and boring, it is likely that many will decide to abandon it.
Animation quality: Poor or inconsistent animation can be a big detractor. Anime fans usually have high expectations when it comes to visual quality.
Characters: If the characters aren't charismatic, interesting, or well-developed, it's easy for viewers to lose interest.
Previous expectations: The expectations generated before the premiere can play an important role. If an anime doesn't meet the expectations created by the promotional material or manga/light novel it's based on, it can be quickly abandoned.
Season competition: In a season with many interesting premieres, viewers can prioritize the series they consider most promising and abandon those that they do not find so attractive.
