Solo Leveling will get a second season

Following the airing of the final episode of the anime adaptation of the webtoon "Solo Leveling," the production of a second season was announced to be titled "Solo Leveling: Arise from the Shadow." The statement did not reveal a scheduled premiere date, but confirms a previous leak that claimed the series would have "two parts."

It should be noted that a new leak has now surfaced claiming that the anime adaptation of "Solo Leveling" would be slated for a total of six seasons, which would mean a full adaptation of the story (and even perhaps get into the sequel currently in release). However, there is still no official confirmation of the information despite it coming from a reliable source. As long as it's a leak that speaks far into the future, it's best to have doubts.

The first season aired during the Winter-2024 season (January-March) and featured a total of twelve episodes. Chugong published the original novels through KakaoPage between July 2016 and March 2018, for a total of fourteen volumes. A webtoon adaptation was published since March 2018 through KakaoPage by Jang Sung-rak and ended in December 2021.

Synopsis of Solo Leveling

Ever since a portal appeared that connects our world to another full of monsters and creatures of all kinds, some people have acquired powers and the ability to hunt them, gaining the name of hunters. The protagonist, Sung Jin-woo, is the weakest of the E-rank hunters and barely stronger than a normal human. He is nicknamed by his fellow hunters as "the weakest". One day, he and others find themselves trapped in an extremely dangerous dungeon, and only a few survive and manage to escape. Sung Jin-woo himself barely survives and is the only one who completes all the trials in this dungeon, becoming a "player", being able to see an interface that shows him quests, stats, inventory, shops and levels. Will he manage to level up to become the most powerful hunter?
