ONE PIECE Remake Finally Reveals More Details

During The One Piece Day 2024 event, a special video for the remake of the anime adaptation of the manga "ONE PIECE" was revealed, which will be titled "THE ONE PIECE". The video finally reveals the production team, but it is still not listed when this new project will be released through Netflix.

This remake was announced in December 2023 and is planned to adapt only the essential content of the "ONE PIECE" franchise for a better understanding for new generations, in addition to an obvious improvement in visual quality. Unfortunately, no promotional video was revealed, indicating that the project is still in the early stages of production.

Eiichiro Oda began publication of the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on July 22, 1997, and reached a thousand chapters published in January 2021. The franchise has inspired multiple adaptations to other media, the main one being the anime that has been on the air since October 1999 and whose production has been in charge of Toei Animation studios since then.

Production Equipment

Masashi Koizuka (Shingeki no Kyojin, Owari no Seraph, Guilty Crown) is directing the anime at WIT STUDIO, with assistance from Hideaki Abe (Jujutsu Kaisen, Mob Psycho 100).
Taku Kishimoto (Boku dake ga Inai Machi, Haikyu!, Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san) is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
Kyouji Asano (Shingeki no Kyojin, PSYCHO-PASS, SPY x FAMILY), and Takatoshi Honda (Kyokou Suiri, D-Frag!) are in charge of character design and animation direction, while Yasuhiro Kajino (Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST, Fumetsu no Anata e) is in charge of monster design.

Synopsis of ONE PIECE
