The most recent episode of "Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation" finally put the franchise trending on social media by showcasing one of the most anticipated moments by fans. As this second season continues to adapt the well-known "Labyrinth Arc", Rudeus learns that Roxy had disappeared into the labyrinth after accidentally activating a teleportation trap. With information from a book detailing a past exploration of the place, Rudeus' group quickly reaches the third stratum and, following the clues, manage to save Roxy from a horde of monsters that had surrounded her.

When Roxy had already accepted her fate and even peed in fear (a scene that, by the way, was completely original to the anime), she closes her eyes, and suddenly, silence falls around her. Roxy discovers that all of the monsters have been defeated with powerful ice magic, while Rudeus walks towards her, blushing at her.

Maybe you've already forgotten, but Roxy mentioned at the beginning of the series what her most desired romantic fantasy was, and she was finally able to see it fulfilled with the most recent episode: "One day, a tall and thin young man, but with childish expressions, will save me by chance in the depths of a labyrinth. Then, we will form a team, and as we work together, love will blossom between us."

Within the "Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation" fan community, there are three especially dominant camps when it comes to the franchise's waifus: one group is dedicated to Eris Boreas Greyrat, Rudeus' first wife; another is dedicated to Sylphiette, his current wife; and another is dedicated to Roxy Migurdia, Rudeus' teacher and first love. Evidently it was the latter who celebrated the most recent episode:

  • "They skipped too much content from the light novels, if it wasn't for this, this episode would have sucked."
  • "My heart was beating too fast the moment they saw each other again."
  • "Oh yes, Roxy is finally back. By the way, I remember well that she said that this is how she wanted to meet her true love."
  • "I just look at the anime and you can tell that a lot of content has been skipped. I would have liked to see how they save her in the next episode to see her struggles or how they navigate the maze a little more. It's still a good episode, though."
  • "I just realized that Roxy told us that this would happen from season one."
  • "It's worked for me. Everything has been foreshadowed up to this encounter, from Fitz giving Rudy the book to Geese goading Rudy to trust his feelings like the shit he is."
  • "I wouldn't be happy, I'm not going to lie. They could have been better apart, but I'm glad he saved her, of course."
  • "To see her literally resisting an entire army of monsters, making her own fort to fight the endless waves. Rudeus finding it through a single drop of water was so good."
  • "I just finished watching the episode and, oh my, I'm so happy."
  • "The truth was kind of cringe. The lack of Roxy's point of view is felt too much."
