Mission: Yozakura Family anime will have a second season

This Sunday, after the broadcast of the final episode for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Hitsuji Gondaira, Mission: Yozakura Family (Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen), it was announced that the series will have a second season. This announcement was accompanied by a promotional video that used panels from the original manga, leaving clues about the future events that we will see in the next installment.

The Mission: Yozakura Family manga began publication in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2019 and currently has more than 2.5 million copies in distribution. The anime for television began airing last April and can be found within the Disney Plus catalog in the West.

Synopsis of Mission: Yozakura Family

High school student Taiyou Asano has been socially inept since his family was killed in a car accident. The only person he can properly relate to is his childhood friend, Mutsumi Yozakura, the head of the strongest spy family in the world. Mutsumi's older brother, Kyouichirou Yozakura, has been overprotective of her since he once left her severely injured. His love for Mutsumi is lethal, and Taiyou is his next target. In order to survive, Taiyou must marry Mutsumi and become a member of the Yozakura family. Thrown headlong into chaos, Taiyou begins his journey to become a powerful spy in order to protect his wife and uncover the dark secrets of his and the Yozakura family's past.
