Marin already has a rival in 2.5 Dimensional Seduction

On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Yuu Hashimoto, "2.5 Dimensional Seduction (2.5-jigen no Ririsa)," a new promotional video for the project was revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for July 5 in Japan, and lists that the series will last two consecutive cours (six months of continuous broadcasting).

The video also shows a snippet of the theme songs, including: Meichan will perform the opening theme titled "Shutter Chance," while Kaori Maeda and Akari Kitou will perform the ending theme titled "Watch Me."

Yuu Hashimoto began publishing the manga through Shueisha's Shueisha Shonen Jump Plus digital service, where it is still in serialization. This is the first work of the author Hashimoto, so no background can be established.

Synopsis of 2.5 Dimensional Seduction

"I'm not interested in real girls!" So says Okumura, the president of the school's manga club. He's the typical otaku, obsessed with a sexy (fictional) 2D manga character known as Lilliel. Then the new school year begins and a 3D (real!) girl named Lilysa, whose passion is cosplay, joins the club. Lilysa convinces Okumura to become her photographer, and guesses who her favorite manga character is. Not only that, Lilysa likes to model fetish things! The boundaries between 2D and 3D begin to blur as this hot-blooded romantic comedy unfolds.
