Delays return to the anime of NieR: Automata

On the official site for the anime adaptation of the video game "NieR: Automata", it was reported that the broadcast of the seventh episode of the second part will be delayed. Instead, a compilation episode will be broadcast on August 16. The statement does not mention whether the suspension will only be for one week, which has worried fans.

Recall that the anime adaptation of "NieR: Automata" has been plagued by problems since its premiere in Winter-2023 (January-March) with its first part. Supposedly there were problems derived from the COVID-19 pandemic that forced the indefinite suspension of the series at the time, although others claim that the production problems come from the terrible management of Aniplex and A-1 Pictures as a whole.

This anime adaptation is being produced as part of the celebration of the fifth anniversary of the release of the original video game. Produced by A-1 Pictures, the first part of twelve episodes premiered in Winter-2023 (January-March), being suspended twice (the second indefinitely) that forced the last four episodes to air until July-2023.

Production Equipment

Ryouji Masuyama (Blend S, Darling in the FranXX, Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de) is in charge of directing the anime at A-1 Pictures studios.
Yoko Taro (Yoshinoya Kyoudai, SINoALICE, Kimi Shi and Tamou Koto Nakare) is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts, alongside Ryouji Masuyama.
Jun Nakai (Re:CREATORS, Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri, Gin no Saji) is in charge of character design and animation direction.
MONACA (Shangri-La Frontier, Summer Time Render, Aharen-san wa Hakarenai) is in charge of the composition of the soundtrack.

Synopsis of NieR: Automata

In a post-apocalyptic world overrun by "mechanical life forms" created by aliens, humanity prepares for its last battle. Forced to retreat to the Moon in search of safety, humans pin their hopes on a group of artificial androids known as YoRHa soldiers. Led by the multi-role battle android YoRHa 2-gou B-gata "2B", the group will fight to wrest control of Earth from their invaders.

As the war against machines intensifies, the YoRHa is slowly beginning to see the first splinters of the truth that underlies the brutal conflict. Faced with harsh reality, the unwavering warrior 2B begins to question her own existence and the extent to which she must sacrifice herself for the good of humanity.
