DanMachi finally sets a date for his return

On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels "DanMachi: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? (Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka?)", a new promotional video for the fifth season of the project was revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for October 4 in Japan, and lists details about the theme songs, including:

The band GRe4N BOYZ will perform the opening theme titled "Shounen," while the band Sajou no Hana will perform the closing theme titled "Hydrate."

This fifth season will cover the "Fertility Goddess Arc" from the original light novels, and keeps the same production team from the previous seasons with some minimal changes.

Fujino Oomori and Suzuhito Yasuda began publishing the light novels through SB Creative's GA Bunko imprint in January 2013. In addition to several manga adaptations, the work has inspired a four-season anime adaptation and a feature film released in February 2019 in Japan.

Synopsis of Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka (DanMachi)

Life in the bustling city of Orario is never boring, especially for Bell Cranel, a naïve young man hoping to become the greatest adventurer on earth. After a chance encounter with the lonely goddess Hestia, his dreams come a little closer to reality. With their support, Bell embarks on a fantastical quest as he ventures deep into the city's monster-filled catacombs, known only as the "Dungeon."

Death lurks in every corner of the cavernous depths of this terrifying labyrinth, and a mysterious power moves in the shadows. Even on the surface, survival is a hard-earned privilege. In fact, nothing is certain in a world where gods and humans live and work together, especially when they often struggle to get along. However, one thing is certain: the intrepid and optimistic protagonist of this herculean story awaits an endless number of blunders, triumphs and friendships.
