Ascendance of a Bookworm will return in 2026

On the official site for the anime adaptation of Miya Kazuki's light novels, "Ascendance of a Bookworm (Honzuki no Gekokujou)," it was announced that the fourth season will adapt "Part 3: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke" from the original story, and that it will premiere sometime in 2026 as a television series.
As previously reported, WIT Studio is the new studio in charge of this adaptation project.

For her part, Miya Kazuki published the original novels through the independent service Shousetsuka ni Narou between September 2013 and March 2017. It subsequently began publication on paper with illustrations by Yuu Shiina through TO Books in January 2015. In addition to three manga adaptations, the work inspired three seasons of an anime adaptation produced by Ajia-Do studios, which together totaled thirty-six episodes.
Synopsis of Honzuki no Gekokujou
Motosu Urano, a book-loving college student who recently earned her certification as a librarian and was supposed to start her dream job after graduation, dies during an earthquake when she is crushed beneath her massive collection of books. Wishing to reincarnate with the sole desire to continue reading, he reincarnates in a world with a low level of literacy and very few books, limited only to the nobility of the world. As she settles into her new life as the five-year-old daughter of a humble soldier, now named Mayne, no matter how much she wants to read, there's no way to get access to books. If there are no books, what do you do? Of course, you make them yourself... Her goal now will be to become a librarian no matter what, and live a life surrounded by books, but this time, crafting them herself.
