Aharen-san wa Hakarenai confirms second season

On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Asato Mizu, "Aharen-san wa Hakarenai (Aharen Is Indecipherable)", the production of a second season of the project was officially confirmed. The statement did not reveal a scheduled release date, but it did list the production team that returns for this sequel.
Author Asato Mizu commented:
- "Thank you for the decision to make the second season of the anime 'Aharen-san wa Hakarenai'! I'm very happy! This is thanks to the support of all of you, and I can't thank the production team enough who made the first season a wonderful play. I have full confidence in that team, so I have left almost the entire production to them, but of course the important parts and differences with the source material we discuss and decide together. Please look forward to the new season!"
For his part, Asato Mizu began publishing the manga through Shueisha's Shueisha publishing house Shonen Jump Plus digital service in January 2017 and finished it in April 2023, compiling the work in a total of seventeen volumes. The work inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Felix Film studios and broadcast during the Spring-2022 season (April-June) in Japan.

Synopsis of Aharen-san wa Hakarenai
Queen Aharen, a friendly little student with a quiet voice, is pretty bad at determining distance and personal space. Sometimes it's inches from your face, and other times, miles away. The only one who tries to understand his antics is Raidou Matsuboshi, who sits next to him in class. He has a menacing face, but he's actually a kind boy with an imagination that sometimes runs wild. Aharen-san wa Hakarenai follows the quirky couple as their odd friendship begins to blossom when Raidou picks up Yahren's eraser for her. She misinterprets his gesture and now believes that they are best friends, showing how the simplest of things can turn out to be the most complicated of challenges for them.
