After decades, the name of the Supreme Kaiosama is revealed

Episode 7 of "Dragon Ball Daima", the series celebrating the fortieth anniversary of the franchise created by the late Akira Toriyama, has offered another exciting expansion of the Dragon Ball universe, this time focusing on the mysteries of the Demon Kingdom and the past of Shin, the Supreme Kai. The most prominent revelation is that Shin has a completely different name in the Demon Realm: "Nahare".
In this episode, while Goku (in his mini version) confronts the Tamagami that protects the Dragon Ball from the three-star Demon Kingdom, Shin removes Panzy's mysterious necklace, preventing the Gendarmerie from tracking them. Grateful for this heroic act, Panzy asks Shin for his real name, to which he replies that his birth name is "Nahare", a title given to him as a member of the Glind, his original race from the Demon Realm.

The episode also delves into the botanical origin of the Glind, who are born from the Glind Trees, a detail that explains why they need only water to survive, similar to Namekians such as Piccolo. In addition, it is confirmed that the Glind are technically genderless beings, although they have physical characteristics associated with men and women, as illustrated by the character of Dr. Arinsu. This revelation solves a mystery long discussed by fans, as Shin's true race had not been explored until now.
"Dragon Ball Daima" has used its episodes to reexamine and expand elements of the franchise's lore. For example, previous episodes reestablished the demonic origins of Picor and the Namekians, as well as revealing details such as what happened to Goku's magic staff. However, the series has also generated controversy by modifying established aspects of the story, such as explaining how Goku and Vegeta undid their Potara Fusion or claiming that the Dragon Balls of the Demon Realm existed before the Super Dragon Balls.
These changes have generated debates among fans, especially because of their apparent intention to remove the importance of Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball GT in the main chronology. With each new episode, Dragon Ball Daima continues to answer old questions while raising new questions about the franchise's universe, leaving fans waiting for more surprises in the coming chapters.
