A criminal romance is coming in Yakuza Fiancé

On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Asuka Konishi, "Yakuza Fiancé (Raise wa Tanin ga Ii)", a new promotional visual for the project was revealed. The press release listed that the premiere is scheduled for the Fall-2024 period (October-December), and revealed the production details and voice cast.

For her part, Asuka Konishi began publishing the manga through Kodansha's Monthly Afternoon magazine in August 2017. He previously wrote another manga titled "Haru's Curse (Haru no Noroi)" between November 2015 and November 2016.

Synopsis of Yakuza Fiancé

Yoshino Somei would have been a normal high school student if it weren't for the fact that she is the granddaughter of the Osaka-based Somei Group, the largest yakuza organization in the Kansai region. One day, Yoshino rushes home after hearing the news of the unification of Kansai and Kanto's largest unions, the Somei and Miyama groups. According to the article, this will result in the marriage of the leaders' grandchildren, one of whom is Yoshino herself! Despite his efforts to annul the agreement, Yoshino has to go to Tokyo to visit his unexpectedly friendly and charming fiancé, Kirishima Miyama.

During their first meeting, Yoshino is involved in various events and is unable to refuse to move to Tokyo, which is why, half a year later, she lives with the Miyama group. At school, she soon realizes that Kirishima is very popular, so her relationship with him earns her the hatred of her fangirls and, as a consequence, she suffers bullying. To top it off, Kirishima couldn't be further away from her prince charming, as he was born to be a member of the yakuza after all.
