Wotakoi will celebrate its anniversary with new manga

The hit manga "Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku (Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii)," created by Fujita, will celebrate its tenth anniversary with a commemorative exhibition that will take place in Tokyo from March 11 to 24, 2025. This news comes alongside the unveiling of a key new illustration, by the author herself, which shows the endearing protagonists, Narumi Momose and Hirotaka Nifuji, in a warm moment when their hands touch and their shoulders come closer.

Fujita shared a few words full of gratitude towards fans: "It seems like it's been 10 years since I started drawing Wotakoi. What were otakus 10 years ago, and what fandoms are they immersed in now? With much gratitude to all the otakus who have supported this story since then, I have really enjoyed drawing Wotakoi's characters again. I hope we can meet again in Matsuya Ginza."
The exhibition will be an opportunity for fans to relive some of the most iconic moments of the series through original manga pages, color illustrations and audiovisual content. In addition, as part of the celebrations, Fujita has created a new Wotakoi manga that will also be exclusively exhibited during the event. This will be a special gift for the fans who have accompanied the series throughout the last decade.
Exclusive products from the exhibition will also be available at the venue, as well as a commemorative pamphlet that will collect details and art related to Wotakoi. Information about ticket sales and other details will be announced soon on the event's official website and on the official Twitter account (@/wotakoi_ten).
After passing through Tokyo, the exhibition will also travel to Osaka in April 2025, allowing more fans to enjoy this special experience. This anniversary marks a decade since Fujita began publishing the endearing love story between otakus, which has conquered hearts around the world with its mix of humor, romance and references to geek culture. The exhibition promises to be an unforgettable tribute to celebrate this milestone alongside the fans who have made Wotakoi's success possible.
