According to the publication, the leak would come from leaked legal documents from the company Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions. This news was quickly shared by thousands of people, eager for more content from the series. However, shortly after, the renowned and reliable leaker SUGOI Lite intervened to deny the information, clarifying that there is currently no second season in production and that the alleged "leak" is simply a reuse of old rumors.
SUGOI Lite explained that the user who spread this news had already shared the same claim in May 2024, and it is likely that he will continue to "recycle" this alleged leak from time to time. The strategy behind this, according to SUGOI Lite, is simple: continue spreading the rumor until a second season is eventually officially confirmed, at which point the original leaker will try to claim the "scoop".
"Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead" was one of the most anticipated anime releases of 2023, adapted from Haro Aso's work and illustrated by Kotaro Takata. The story follows Akira Tendo, a man trapped in the exhausting routine of his job, until a zombie apocalypse gives him the opportunity to fulfill all those dreams and desires that he could never realize due to his monotonous life. This twist, which mixes black humor and action in the midst of a zombie catastrophe, gave the series immediate popularity.
