VTuber Uruha Rushia confirms suicide attempt

A few days ago we reported that the person behind the ex-VTuber of Hololive Production, "Uruha Rushia", and now behind the independent VTuber "Mikeneko", had made headlines in Japan because, according to a report from a third party, he had tried to take his own life. However, because the report came from a personal friend, many questioned the veracity of the situation and wondered if she had only faked this situation to become a trend on social media.

Unfortunately, the person behind "Uruha Rushia" has a bad reputation among netizens, especially for her emotional instability, and since her lawsuit with who we now know was her husband, singer Mafumafu, her image has been practically reduced to ashes.

Earlier this year, Mafumafu released a statement confirming that he was in a relationship with the person behind then-"Uruha Rushia," but that they had broken up due to her being extremely toxic and emotionally unstable.

Mafumafu's words really destroyed what little image remained of "Mikeneko", as they revealed details of his disturbing personality. From a controlling attitude to the fact that he kept a pet corpse in a trash can in his extremely dirty apartment. Even though the person behind "Uruha Rushia" tried to debunk several of these arguments, most decided to believe Mafufu more, given the girl's background already.

And why are we talking about this again? Well, it turns out that the person behind "Uruha Rushia", and now "Mikeneko", broke the silence on the situation and confirmed that he did try to take his own life with an overdose of medication:

  • "I am sorry for the inconvenience and inconvenience I have caused you. I was recently told unjustified things in a dispute with the other party, I was deprived of my favorite job, and I was suffering and feeling unstable every day due to the large amount of slander that was produced for taking into account the opinion of one of the parties. That day I had several flashbacks and impulsively took a large dose of medication. Apparently, a neighbor friend who knew about my situation rushed to the hospital and called an ambulance. Apparently, he accompanied me all the way, from the ambulance to the doctor's explanation and hospital discharge. I'm so grateful to him because I was groggy until I was discharged.
  • The hospital recommended that I remain hospitalized, but I was able to leave with the promise that the next day I would go to the psychosomatic clinic without fail and that my friend would accompany me when I went home. Please refrain from slandering my friend or anyone else involved. I'm sorry that my weak heart has caused you viewers a lot of concern. I'm so sorry to have let them down, even though they've always supported me. I will do my best to keep my spirits up until the conflict is resolved, and I will continue to make hospital visits and work hard until I get the results.
  • I cannot give you details because the litigation is ongoing, but speculative slander based on one-sided opinions has increased considerably. Please refrain from making assumptions until the matter is resolved, thank you. I'm sorry I did a really stupid thing, taking a lot of medication. It's more painful than dying, so if you're thinking about doing something similar, please, really, don't do it. Anyway, I feel bad and in pain for a few days. I didn't want to go into too much detail, but I hope I can be of some help so they never overdose. I know it's unprofessional of me to say I've done it and at the same time say you don't, but thank you for your cooperation."

And with all this, the comments were not long in coming:

  • "I think hospitals are a place of salvation, but using them as a self-affirmation device isn't very good, so use them sparingly."
  • "You are the victim of the other party in conflict saying unjustified things to you, of having your job taken away, of being slandered with one-sided information. But isn't that the result of your own actions?"
  • "Even in these kinds of situations, he still puts the blame on Mafumafu."
  • "She basically says 'she's really hurt.' But typing this kind of thing on the internet won't do you any good. In fact, what he needs to do is step away from Twitter for a while."
  • "Wow, she supposedly overdosed and they let her out of the hospital the same day without doing gastric washes, without blood tests and without calling a relative, and the next day she's already posting on Twitter. It looks very believable!"
  • "And has anyone from Hololive Production commented on this? I'm disappointed that they turned their backs on him to the point that he's now trying to commit suicide, and none of them care."
  • "But she can get away with slandering Mafumafu all the time. He's got a lot of mental strength to say that kind of thing, doesn't he?"
  • "Those who are still fans of this person are just as sick as they are."
  • "Lately there are a lot of suicide attempts among the VTuber community, is it a successful model to become a trend?"
  • "These types of posts are creepy. It's obvious that the girl has mental problems, they should keep her away from the internet for a while."
