The ultimate romcom arrives with Chitose is in the Ramune Bottle

A press release confirmed that the light novels written by Hiromu and illustrated by Raemz, "Chitose is in the Ramune Bottle (Chitose-kun wa Ramune Bin no Naka)," will have an anime adaptation that will premiere sometime in 2025 in Japan. The statement did not reveal the production details, so we will have to wait for more details soon.

It is worth noting that this story is considered "the definitive weapon of light romance novels", as the following comments point out:

Hiromu began publishing the light novels through Shogakukan's Gagaga Bunko publishing house in June 2019. The work is also inspiring a manga adaptation by Bobcat, which has been published on Square Enix's Manga Up! website since April 2020.

"Chitose is in the Ramune Bottle" achieved the first position in the annual popularity ranking Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi!, specifically in 2021 and 2022, and the second position in 2023, which earned it a direct entry into the "Light Novel Hall of Fame". This caused, however, that the series can no longer be considered to participate in future votes, precisely because it is already on this other permanent list.

Few franchises have received this award, including "Oregairu: My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected," "Sword Art Online," "Toaru Majutsu no Index," "The Ryuo's Work Is Never Done!," "Ascendance of a Bookworm," and "Classroom of the Elite."
