During the live broadcast of the 5th Overlap Bunko All-Star Roundup special event, a promotional video was revealed announcing the anime adaptation of Kouki Fuyutsuki's light novel series The Too-Perfect Saint: Tossed Aside by My Fiancé and Sold To Another Kingdom (Kanpeki Sugite Kawaigeganai to Konyaku Haki Sareta Seijo wa Ringoku ni Urareru), scheduled to premiere in 2025.

The first promotional image for the series was also released.

The anime is based on both Fuyutsuki's original novel, which has six published volumes, and the manga adaptation drawn by Mago Ayakita, which has already released five volumes.

Voice cast

Voice actress Yui Ishikawa will play the protagonist Philia Adenauer.

Production Equipment

The project will be in charge of the animation studio TROYCA. The creative team includes:

  • Shuu Watanabe (Shinobi no Ittoki) directing.
  • Keiichiro Ochi (The Quintessential Quintuplets, The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten) overseeing the scripts.
  • Shuuhei Yamamoto (Kakushigoto) is responsible for character design.

Synopsis of The Too-Perfect Saint

The story follows Philia, a saint known to be the most talented of her generation, but despised for her perfection, considered "too perfect to be charming." After being rejected by her fiancé, the second prince Julius, Philia is sold to the neighboring kingdom of Parnacolta, which faces a crisis due to the absence of a saint.
