The One Piece anime will enter a hiatus period until 2025

This Sunday, during a special broadcast on YouTube, it was revealed that the anime adaptation of the famous manga One Piece, written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda, will enter for the first time in its history in a six-month pause period, starting on October 27. The series is expected to return in April 2025.
The main reason behind this pause is that the production team has decided to focus on improving the quality of the animation, with the aim of offering a visual aspect that is on par with the most recent episodes of the franchise.
During this hiatus period, the anime will rebroadcast the Fish-Man Island Arc (also known as the Fish-Man Island Arc), but this time in a remastered and improved version. This new edition will have a significant reduction in episodes, going from the original 51 to only 28, since the filler chapters will be eliminated, which will allow a more dynamic and faithful experience to the story of the manga.
In addition, a promotional image for the new edition of the Fish-Man Island Arc was revealed.

It's impressive to think that, after 25 years on the air, the One Piece anime will go on a six-month hiatus. Most surprisingly, this interruption is due to an effort to "improve its quality", despite the fact that we have recently enjoyed episodes with exceptional direction and animation. More details about this suspension will be announced at the Jump Festa 2025, which will take place in December.
