The best anime of all time according to the West

A recent survey conducted by members of the Reddit community, specifically the popular r/anime forum, has revealed what its users consider to be the best anime of all time. The vote, organized over several months, aimed to gather opinions from thousands of fans from different parts of the world, offering a definitive list based on the criteria of those who participated.

The methodology applied for this vote followed several specific steps. Earlier this year, forum users were allowed to select up to 20 of their favorite anime. From this initial list, the organizers launched a second stage, in which they asked users to rate each of these anime using a five-star system. Fans were encouraged not to vote for those titles they had not seen in their entirety, thus seeking fairer and more representative results.

To provide detailed results and cater to different perspectives, the data were analyzed and presented in various formats. The initial results show the top 100 highest-rated anime, sorted by the percentage of votes that received a five-star rating.
