The author of Hyouka returns with How to Become Ordinary

On the official site for the anime adaptation of the novels written by Honobu Yonezawa, "How to Become Ordinary (Shoushimin)," a new promotional video for the project was revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for July 6 in Japan, and shows a snippet of the theme songs, including:
- EVE will perform the opening theme titled "Sweet Memory," while Ammo will perform the closing theme titled "Itokenai."
It should be remembered that, specifically, the anime will adapt the stories "The Case of the Springtime Limited-Edition Strawberry Tart (Shunki Gentei Ichigo Tart Jiken)" and "The Case of the Summertime Limited-Edition Tropical Parfait (Kaki Gentei Tropical Parfait Jiken)".
On the other hand, Honobu Yonezawa began publishing the novels through Tokyo Sogensha in December 2004, starting with the story "The Case of the Springtime Limited-Edition Strawberry Tart", followed by "The Case of the Summertime Limited-Edition Tropical Parfait" in April 2006; and then "The Case of the Autumn-time Limited-Edition Candied Chestnuts and Sweet Potatoes" and "The Mystery of the Paris Macaron", adding four volumes to date. In addition, a fifth volume titled "The Case of the Wintertime Limited-Edition Chocolate Bonbons" was released in April 2024.

Synopsis of How to Become Ordinary
"Let us help each other and aspire to become perfect ordinary citizens." Kobato, who once had a bitter experience with the deduction activities known as "wisdom work," was determined to become an honest and humble citizen. He secretly formed a reciprocal relationship with his classmate, Osanai, who shared the same aspiration, planning to make their high school debuts as ordinary citizens and lead peaceful days. However, for some reason, mysterious incidents and misfortunes follow one another in their school lives. Will Kobato and Osanai be able to reach peaceful days as ordinary citizens?
