Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken will have a fourth season

Following the airing of today's episode, the production of a fourth season and a second film for the anime adaptation of "Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime)" was announced. Although the details are not mentioned, it is likely that the aforementioned film will return to being completely original content, as happened with "Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken Movie: Scarlet Bond" in 2022.

For its part, Fuse published the original novels through the independent service Shousetsuka ni Narou between 2013 and 2016, while the print version with illustrations by Mitz Vah and a different development has been published through the publisher Micro Magazine since 2014. On the other hand, in addition to the manga adaptation by Taiki Kawakami and several other spin-offs, the anime adaptation has a total of three seasons that add up to a total of seventy-two episodes, as well as a movie and the spin-off "The Slime Diaries".

Synopsis of Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken

Satoru Mikami, a 37-year-old office worker, led a monotonous life in Tokyo, satisfied with his daily routine, although he never managed to get a girlfriend. One day, while conversing with a colleague, he is attacked by a random assailant and stabbed. As he succumbs to his wounds, he hears a strange voice in his mind reciting a series of commands that he cannot understand. Upon waking, he realizes that he has been reborn as a slime in an unknown world. In this new body, Satoru acquires special abilities, such as the ability to devour anything and copy its appearance and powers.

In his new form, Satoru encounters the dragon Veldora, a catastrophic monster that had been sealed for 300 years after destroying a city. Sympathizing with the dragon's situation, Satoru promises to help him break the seal. In return, Veldora gives him the name Rimuru Tempest and grants him her divine protection. Now, freed from the monotony of his past life, Rimuru begins a new adventure with a clear purpose in mind. As she gets used to her new body, her actions begin to make an impact on the world, changing her destiny little by little.
