Sword of the Demon Hunter Anime Delayed Until 2025

In a surprise press release, the production of the anime adaptation of the novels written by Motoo Nakanishi, "Sword of the Demon Hunter (Kijin Gentoushou)," reported that the premiere has been postponed until 2025 due to production issues.
According to the statement, the anime is now intended to be two arcs (i.e., six months of airing) that will air consecutively in 2025. More details will be announced soon once they are decided.
It should be noted that the studio in charge is Yokohama Animation Lab, the same one that was recently involved in the production disaster that affected the yuri anime "Whisper Me a Love Song (Sasayaku You ni Koi wo Utau)".

Motoo Nakanishi began publishing the novels through Futabasha Publishing House in Japan in June 2019, and finished it in November 2023 with a total of fourteen volumes. The manga adaptation is by Yuu Satomi (Kekkai no Noah, Mushihime, Yakedo Shoujo) and has been published since September 2021.

From Edo to the Heisei era, this massive Japanese fantasy series follows a demon man who travels through time while continually questioning the meaning of wielding a sword.
