Solo Leveling Delays Its Next Episode

After today's broadcast, on the official website for the anime adaptation of the webtoon "Solo Leveling" it was announced that the broadcast on February 24 will be a compilation episode. As a result, the broadcast of the eighth episode has been delayed until March 2.

It is unnatural for a compilation episode to air so early in a series, although there is always the possibility that it was previously scheduled either because of a transition in the plot of the work or to adjust the schedule to the established number of episodes. However, considering A-1 Pictures' history of poor production schedules leading to delays (as happened with "NieR:Automata Ver1.1a," "86: Eighty-Six," among others), "Solo Leveling" fans are evidently more than concerned with this announcement. Is this the beginning of a bigger problem?

It should be remembered that the Crunchyroll platform is in charge of its distribution in the West. Chugong published the original novels through KakaoPage between July 2016 and March 2018, for a total of fourteen volumes. A webtoon adaptation was published since March 2018 through KakaoPage by Jang Sung-rak and ended in December 2021.

Synopsis of Solo Leveling

Ever since a portal appeared that connects our world to another full of monsters and creatures of all kinds, some people have acquired powers and the ability to hunt them, gaining the name of hunters. The protagonist, Sung Jin-woo, is the weakest of the E-rank hunters and barely stronger than a normal human. He is nicknamed by his fellow hunters as "the weakest". One day, he and others find themselves trapped in an extremely dangerous dungeon, and only a few survive and manage to escape. Sung Jin-woo himself barely survives and is the only one who completes all the trials in this dungeon, becoming a "player", being able to see an interface that shows him quests, stats, inventory, shops and levels. Will he manage to level up to become the most powerful hunter?
