Solo Leveling Almost Confirms Second Season

Crunchyroll's new "Solo Leveling" special has sparked intense conversation after revealing footage that strongly hints at an upcoming second season or second arc of the anime. The documentary, titled "The Leveling of Solo Leveling," has caused quite a stir by showing the character Beru, who makes his first appearance in chapter 105 of the manhwa of "Solo Leveling."
With the anime series currently slated to stop well before that point, many fans on social media are convinced that this is evidence of plans for a second season. Readers can watch footage from the documentary below. This is arguably the strongest argument yet in favor of a second season.
- Design by Cha Hae-in.

- Design by Beru.

The inclusion of Beru's character token is also likely part of Solo Leveling's production team's approach to "adding extra meat to the story," as producer Sota Furuhashi commented. While discussing the necessary changes to the manhwa, director Shunsuke Nakashige added, "There were characters that didn't appear in the webtoon. They were mentioned in dialogue but didn't appear in art, so we'd ask, 'Well, what are they like?'" With Beru's next major role, the anime team may already be considering how best to advance his character and incorporate him into the story.
Fans of "Solo Leveling" have long suspected a continuation of the series, especially because of a leak from several months ago. The series was one of the most anticipated anime adaptations, with over 14 billion views for the source material. The comments from the CEO of Netmarble, whose company is a producer of both the "Solo Leveling" video game and anime, stoked expectations when he referred to the ongoing series as "the first season." This suggests that there is more to come, further fueling speculation of a second season or continuation of the anime.
