Overlord will have a pretty long movie

The press conference to announce the latest news of the film "Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom" was held this weekend, with the presence of actors Satoshi Hino (voice of Ainz), Yumi Hara (voice of Albedo), Masayuki Katou (voice of Demiurge) and producer Kazufumi Kikushima.
During the event, it was revealed that the film will be released on September 20 in theaters across Japan, and a week before that, on September 13, it will have an early screening in IMAX. In addition, it was confirmed that the duration of the film will be more than two hours, which promises an epic cinematic experience for fans of the series.
Among the featured announcements, it was revealed that the first major "Overlord" exhibition will be held, where attendees will be able to experience iconic scenes from the anime. The actors shared their ideas and wishes for the exhibition, such as Satoshi Hino, who suggested a photospot where visitors are "devoured by the goats", while Yumi Hara proposed recreating Albedo's bed. Masayuki Katou joked about the creation of the Demiurge's bone chair. Although some of these ideas seemed like a challenge for the producer, he assured that there will be a life-size statue of Ainz and his throne, and urged both anime and manga fans to attend the exhibition.
Another of the big announcements was the presentation of the new promotional visual of the film, showing the inhabitants of the Holy Kingdom in the hands of Ainz, which caused laughter in the audience when the producer commented that a terrible fate surely awaited them.

The film has been produced using the pre-scoring technique instead of traditional voice recording. According to the producer, Kazufumi Kikushima, this decision was made to make the most of the actors' performances in animation. "We're creating something really amazing based on everyone's performances," the producer said. Masayuki Katou also highlighted how the performances have deepened the understanding of the characters, including Neia and Remedios.
At the end of the event, the first eight minutes of the film were screened. Satoshi Hino expressed his impression of the intimidating presence of the Demiurge, while Yumi Hara commented on how quickly time passed during the screening and the essence of "Overlord" that is perceived in this new installment. Masayuki Katou added that the projected scene was just "the tip of the iceberg."
Kazufumi Kikushima closed the event by stating that the full footage of the film will be more than two hours and that it will be a spectacular experience in theaters. He invited all fans to look forward to the premiere and enjoy this new story that was not told in the fourth season of the television series.
