My Happy Marriage Releases New Teaser For Second Season
This Sunday it was announced that the long-awaited second season of the anime My Happy Marriage (Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon), based on the successful light novel series by Akumi Agitogi, will arrive on Japanese television on January 6, 2025. There is still no official date for its premiere on Netflix globally. The announcement was accompanied by a new promotional visual, a teaser, and the reveal of the opening and closing theme songs.
The opening theme, titled "Shiawasena Yakusoku," will be performed by Riria, while the ending theme, "Tsukikage Okuri" (Moonlight Sending), will be performed by Kashitarō Ito, whose single will be released digitally on January 14.

Production Equipment
The Kinema Citrus studio, responsible for the first season, continues to be in charge of the animation.
- Director Takehiro Kubota (Macross Delta), reprises his role alongside Masayuki Kojima (Monster), who now collaborates in direction.
- Ami Sato (Ousama Ranking) oversees the scripts and writes them alongside Misato Hashiba, Fūka Ishii, and Momoka Toyoda.
- Shoko Yasuda (Sword Art Online: Alicization) returns as a character designer.
- Kuniyuki Itou is in charge of the design of secondary characters.
- Emi Katanosaka, known for her work on Made in Abyss, is the art director, with Osamu Masuyama as a consultant.
- MIRACLE BUS produces the music in collaboration with Kinema Citrus and Kadokawa.
The original light novel series has sold more than 9 million copies. In addition, it has a manga adaptation, in publication since December 2018 on Square Enix's Gangan Online site, and a live-action film released in March 2023, which grossed 654 million yen in its first weekend.
Synopsis of My Happy Marriage
Born into a noble family with supernatural abilities, Miyo Saimori had a difficult childhood after losing her biological mother and living under her stepmother's abuse. When she receives the news that she will be married, her hopes of escaping her sad life are dashed when she meets her fiancé: Kiyoka Kudou, a military commander known for his ruthless reputation.
However, Miyo soon discovers that her fiancé is not the monster she imagined. As they both open their hearts, they realize that they could be the key to finding true happiness in their lives.
