Mieruko-chan Author Falls Out With Google

Author Tomoki Izumi has shared an update on Twitter after receiving numerous questions about whether his "Mieruko-chan" manga has already ended. Izumi wrote, "Many people seem to think that 'Mieruko-chan' is over, I wonder why. Investigating I discovered that Google terminates it for no reason."

"Mieruko-chan" is still in active serialization and is indeed in a shocking narrative arc today. The story follows Miko Yotsuya, a student capable of seeing monsters and spirits that others can't see. Although she tries to ignore these visions in order to lead a normal life, she becomes involved in increasingly dangerous and supernatural situations.
The manga has gained popularity for its unique blend of horror and comedy, as well as the charismatic main character of Miko. Izumi's ability to mix moments of horror with touches of humor has resonated with readers, making "Mieruko-chan" an exciting and often surprising read.
In addition to the manga, the series also had an anime adaptation that premiered three years ago. Despite its positive reception, fans have been waiting for news about a second season, which has yet to be announced. The question about a continuation of the anime arose again among fans after confusion about the status of the series on Google.
Izumi has not commented on a second season of the anime in its latest update, but fans continue to show interest and support for both the manga and the animated adaptation. Meanwhile, the manga "Mieruko-chan" continues to captivate readers with its unique atmosphere and unexpected twists, proving to be a work that continues to capture the imagination of fans of the supernatural genre.
- "This is really a horror story."
- "Imagine Google surrounded by spirits asking you 'Mieruko-chan? Is it over yet?'"
- "Is it because of the band that says 'Finished' in Ichijo Michiru's goal?"
- "Before, in the store I used to manage, I thought there were few customers only on certain days, it turns out that Google Maps put the store as "Closed". Isn't that commercial interference?"
- "The AI may have misinterpreted Michiru's arc to be over."
- "Google-san, when are you going to stop showing me that businesses are closed when they're not? 😅 ».
- "Not only here, but when you search for something, the suggestions include negative words like 'boring', 'closed', 'cancelled', etc. Why do so many negative words appear? Sometimes it makes me uncomfortable, so I'd rather they didn't."
- "What did Google actually see?"
- "What the hell did Google-chan see?"
