Love Live! Nijigasaki to say goodbye with three new films

On the official site for the "Love Live!" franchise, a promotional video for the first film in the "Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Final Chapter," which will end the anime adaptation of "Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club". The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for September 6 in theaters in Japan, while the other two films are pending a release date.
This new project announced in June 2023 will serve as the conclusion of this sub-franchise after its debut in October-2020. According to the statement, the first film will be set in Okinawa and the promotional video shows the group preparing for the School Idol GPX, an event in which they will participate.
On the other hand, "Love Live! "Nijigasaki High School Idol Club" is a sub-franchise of the "Love Live!" multiverse, born from the video game "Love Live! School Idol Festival All Stars". in 2017. Unlike μ's and Aqours, they are a group of individual school-idols who compete with each other to keep their school afloat.
