Kimetsu no Yaiba confirms film trilogy

Following the airing of the final episode, the production of a trilogy of films that will adapt the "Infinite Fortress Arc" from the "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" franchise was confirmed. At the same time, Crunchyroll announced that it has acquired the rights and that it will release this series of films in the West (hopefully, at the same time as its premieres in Japan).
It is important to mention that, previously, leaks had assured that this trilogy would adapt everything that remains of the manga. However, the project is officially titled as "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc", which involves a total of 44 chapters of the manga, but leaves out the "Countdown to Dawn Arc", which covers 22 final chapters.
In the end, we will have to wait until the first film is released to do the math and see if the project covers the final arc or not. And speaking of which, no scheduled release date was revealed, not even an approximate one.
On the other hand, Koyoharu Gotouge published the original manga through Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine between February 2016 and May 2020, compiling the work in a total of twenty-three volumes. The anime adaptation produced by Ufotable studios has aired a total of four seasons since the first in Spring-2019 (April-June), which add up to a total of 63 episodes so far, in addition to three films (one canonical and two compilations).
