It will last!! and Baccano! They could be back very soon

In October 2017, Ryogo Narita, author of "Durarara!!" and "Baccano!", announced that his works would be put on indefinite suspension due to having been diagnosed with an incurable disease. Six and a half years after this announcement that worried his fan base, the author has announced that he is ready to end his hiatus.
Narita shared the optimistic update via Twitter while commenting on the 20th anniversary exhibition of "Durarara!!" being held at Ikebukuro, in Toshima, Tokyo, Japan. The author wrote:
- "Animate has decided to open an exclusive Durarara store!!", said Narita. "I'm very sorry I haven't been able to keep up since I was diagnosed with an incurable disease, but as soon as the multimedia projects for other works have been resolved, I plan to resume the franchises of "D [Durarara]" and "B [Baccano]" and other works, so please look forward to it!"

When Narita first revealed her struggles with poor health in her 2017 post, the statement read:
- "And to the readers of my novels, I have to apologize. The pain in the joints of my fingers, elbows, shoulders, lap, ankles, etc., was really bad, so I went to the hospital and it turns out that my C-reactive protein (CRP) levels were 9.5 higher than they should be. The tests revealed some collagen disease as well, so I had to have more tests. Between the tests and the treatment piling up, all my plans have been delayed a bit. I'm really sorry."

In the same thread from 2017, Narita clarified that "everything but his joints were fine," explaining why he could write short social media posts but extended periods of writing would cause pain and force him to stop. Although Narita has shared updates about her health on social media over the years, this is the first time she has claimed that she will be healthy enough to return to work.
"Durarara!!" and "Baccano!", both classified as suspended works, but not cancelled, have not received a new volume since 2016 in Japan. In addition to the aforementioned series, Narita has also written light novels for the "Fate/Stay Night" and "BLEACH" franchises.
As for "Durarara!!", it is a series of Japanese light novels written by Ryogo Narita and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda. The story is set in Ikebukuro, a district of Tokyo, and follows the intertwined lives of several characters, including a mysterious biker named Celty Sturluson, a student named Mikado Ryugamine, and a former doctor named Shinra Kishitani.
The series was adapted into an anime produced by Brain's Base and Shuka, for a total of two seasons. The first season premiered in Winter-2010 (January-March) and the second season in Summer-2015 (July-September). The original novel consists of thirteen volumes set in Japan, divided into several sagas that explore the complexities of Ikebukuro's urban underworld and the secrets of its inhabitants. The sequel, titled "Durarara!! SH" remained in four volumes, with the fourth published in February 2016.
