Infinite Stratos could be canceled

The author of the "Infinite Stratos" franchise, Izuru Yumizuru, has generated concern among his followers after posting a series of disturbing messages on his official Twitter account. In these tweets, Yumizuru expressed his frustration and doubts about his writing career, suggesting that he might quit his work altogether, including the completion of his popular work.
In one of his most shocking posts, Yumizuru wrote: "What am I living for? I don't understand it well," making clear his current emotional state. In addition, he pointed out problems in his personal and professional life, alluding to the lack of support from his wife, who apparently reproached him for working on manuscripts that do not generate income. "My wife is upset. He says not to write things that don't make money. So, what's the point of writing? It doesn't make sense. I will leave the new project, it will not make money anyway," he lamented in another tweet.

He continued: "Effort is only recognized when it is converted into money, that is being a true realist. I feel very bad about it. What's the fun? There's nothing fun in life anymore. I don't have the courage to die, so I'm in trouble. Money, money, money, it's so annoying."
The situation is worrying for fans of the franchise, who have not received an update on the original work since the publication of Volume 12 of "Infinite Stratos" in April 2018, that is, more than six years of inactivity. Fans who were hoping for the continuation of the story fear that these statements are the indication that Volume 13, which has never been released, might not see the light of day.
In this regard, the author wrote: "Volume 13 of 'Infinite Stratos' is always in my mind out of a sense of duty and responsibility, but the thing is simple: it doesn't make money, so I won't. The end. Conclusion? I don't care. If it doesn't make money, I'm busy with other more important things. How boring. Living is boring."

Among the comments from fans on social networks, the uncertainty is palpable. "It's like the end of the road for him," one user commented, while another noted, "I don't understand what he's busy with. Why did he miss the opportunity to continue with such a successful project?" Some are of the opinion that "the pressure of massive financial success with 'Infinite Stratos' affected his ability to continue working normally." Others even wonder if the relationship with his wife has an economic undertone, given that Yumizuru repeatedly mentioned the obsession with money in his tweets.
"Infinite Stratos," which enjoyed notable success in both its light novel format and anime adaptation, managed to capture the public's attention during its heyday, especially for its engaging character design and talented voice cast. However, the decline in Yumizuru's creative activity and his departure from the project have left the franchise in a state of limbo.
Despite this, some fans still hold out hope that Yumizuru can resume his work, although others consider that the time for "Infinite Stratos" has passed. "With a little more humility, he could have continued to enjoy the fruits of his success, but it seems that there is nothing left," lamented one user. On the other hand, some remember the strong impact that the franchise had in its time, both in the sale of figures and in other derivative products. "The characters were designed to sell, and they succeeded," one fan mentioned, noting how the show's visual elements played a crucial role in its success.
Meanwhile, the uncertainty continues, with Yumizuru fans wondering if this will be the definitive end for "Infinite Stratos," a series that, despite its initial success, seems to have faded over time.
