Hideaki Anno returns with Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX

As part of the "Gundam Conference Winter 2024" event, the next project of the prestigious animation houses Studio Khara and Sunrise was revealed: the TV series "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX". The series, which promises to expand the Gundam universe with an innovative and visually striking plot, will debut with a special theatrical release. The episode equivalent to the first of the series will be screened as a feature film titled "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-", with a confirmed premiere date for January 17, 2025.

Synopsis of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX

The plot follows Amate Yuzuriha, a high school student who leads a quiet life in a space colony. However, her life changes drastically when she encounters Nyaan, a war refugee who introduces her to the underground world of the sport of mobile suit duels, known as Clan Battle. Adopting the alias "Machu," Amate becomes a fierce competitor on this dangerous circuit, piloting the mysterious Gundam GQuuuuuuX.

Things take an unexpected turn when an unknown Gundam, pursued by both the space force and the police, appears in front of Amate. This encounter also leads her to meet her enigmatic pilot, a young man named Shūji, who could be the key to unraveling the secrets behind the clashes and the fate of the colony.
