Girls Band Cry is already in trouble

The "Girls Band Cry" franchise, one of the most beloved in the anime world, has issued an important statement that has left its fans worried. The lead band, Togenashi Togeari, consisting of Rina, Mirei, Yuuri, Shuri, and Natsu, will face significant changes to their lineup due to health concerns.

Mirei and Natsu, who had recently been absent due to health issues, have been evaluated by doctors and it has been determined that they are unable to continue their activities at this time. "Girls Band Cry," created and produced by Toei Animation, is an original anime series directed by Kazuo Sakai and written by Jukki Hanada, featuring character designs by Nari Teshima, CGI direction by Mari Kondo and Jae Hoon Jung, and music composed by Kenji Tamai. It aired during the Spring-2024 season (April-June) on television in Japan.

The series tells the story of Nina Iseri, a 17-year-old girl who is looking for her purpose in life and wants to get into a good university. However, his first day in Tokyo is full of difficulties until he meets Momoka Kawaragi, his favorite guitarist. Together they decided to form a band, adding Subaru Awa as drummer, Tomo Ebizuka on keyboard and Rupa on bass.
