"Girls Band Cry" follows the story of Nina Iseri, a young woman who drops out of high school and moves alone to Tokyo with the dream of entering university. Throughout the series, it is shown how she and other girls, each dealing with their own problems, find in music an escape and a way to express themselves through the creation of a band.

In addition to the announcement of the film, the audition for the anime-based game was also revealed, in which the selected ones will not only be part of the cast of characters, but will also create a band in real life, participating in musical releases and live concerts. The first round of auditions will be open until October 8 in Japan.

Finally, it was confirmed that the band of the series, Togenashi Togeari, will have their fifth live concert on February 7, 2025, at the Yokohama Pacific, the largest venue in the band's history. Tickets for the concert can be purchased through an advance drawing by purchasing Volume 5 of the anime's Blu-ray/DVD, which will go on sale on October 30.

Synopsis of Girls Band Cry

Everyone longs to find their true purpose in life. The same happens to Nina Iseri, a 17-year-old girl who wants to enroll in a good university, but the world seems to always be against her. On her first day in Tokyo, she gets lost, ignored, and is locked out of her new apartment. However, an unexpected opportunity arises when Nina meets Momoka Kawaragi, one of her favorite guitarists.

After Nina joins Momoka in a street performance, Momoka decides that they should form a group together. Although Nina is hesitant at first, her determination grows as they get more bandmates: the beautiful drummer Subaru Awa, the distant keyboardist Tomo Ebizuka and the intelligent bassist Rupa. The five girls face challenges both in the music industry and within themselves, but their shared passion for music never allows them to give up on their dreams.
