From the author of DanMachi, Wistoria: Wand and Sword prepares its premiere

On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written by Fujino Omori and illustrated by Toshi Aoi, "Wistoria: Wand and Sword (Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria)," a new promotional video for the project was revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for July 7 in Japan, and shows a snippet of the theme songs, including:

The band PENGUIN RESEARCH will perform the opening theme titled "Fire and Fear," while singer TRUE will perform the closing theme titled "Frozen."

Fujino Omori, who is also the author of the franchise of "Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka? (DanMachi: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?)", began publication of the manga through Kodansha's Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in December 2020, where it is still in publication.

Tatsuya Yoshihara (Black Clover, Chainsaw Man, Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou) is in charge of directing the anime at Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures, and is also in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
Sayaka Ono (Cross Ange: Tenshi to Ryuu no Rondo, Sacred Seven, BASTARD!!: Ankoku no Hakaishin (ONA)) is in charge of character design and animation direction, while Raita Sunaga, Yoshirou Harada, and Ryou Akizuki are in charge of monster design.

Synopsis of Wistoria: Wand and Sword

Will Serfort dreams of fulfilling the promise he made to a childhood friend and becoming Magic Vander, one of the powerful wizards who sit atop the Tower of Wizards. However, he is unable to cast the simplest of spells, forcing him to fight monsters from the dungeons to earn credits at Regarden Wizarding Academy. As if that were not enough, he is forced to test his sword skills against an abusive professor.
