Synopsis of Dandadan
After being aggressively rejected, Momo Ayase finds herself angry when she stumbles upon a boy who is being bullied. Saved by her reckless kindness, the occult-obsessed boy tries to talk to her about supernatural interests he believes they share. Rejecting her claims, Ayase proclaims that she is, instead, a believer in ghosts, starting an argument between the two about which one is real. In a bid to determine who is right, the two decide to visit separately places related to the occult and the supernatural: Ayase visits the former and the boy the latter.
When the two arrive at their respective places, it turns out that neither of them was wrong and that both the occult and the ghosts exist. This marks the beginning of the adventure of Ayase and the boy, who shares a name with Ayase's favorite idol, Ken Takakura, as they try to fix the surreal supernatural and sci-fi elements around them to get back to a normal life.
