Criticism of the live-action Sono Bisque Doll does not stop

The much-discussed live-action "Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru (My Dress-Up Darling)", currently on air, has caused great disappointment among Japanese fans, who have expressed their criticism on social networks. The most notable controversy arises from the scene where Marin Kitagawa appears in a bathing suit to have her body measurements taken, one of the most iconic scenes in manga and anime. However, in the adaptation, this scene was drastically modified, with the actress wearing normal clothes instead of the revealing original outfit, and with a much more moderate tone.

Fans have been annoyed by these changes, pointing out that the live-action has softened the content too much, removing some of the elements that made the franchise so popular with its fans. In addition, criticism of the main actress's appearance was not long in coming. Some comment that the actress does not resemble Marin Kitagawa enough, one of the most beloved characters by the otaku community.
Despite the fact that the live-action is still on the air, many fans have already called it one of the worst live-action anime adaptations. This situation has also rekindled interest in the original series, and many are still waiting for the return of the anime, whose second season has not yet been confirmed, but is still desired by a large part of the fandom.
Here are some of the most prominent comments from Japanese fans, translated:
