An alien comedy arrives in Me and the Alien MuuMuu

A press release from Pony Canyon listed that the manga written and illustrated by Hiroki Miyashita, "Me and the Alien MuuMuu (Uchuujin Muumuu)," will have an anime adaptation in 2025. The statement did not list production details, but revealed that Momo Harumi and Etsuko Kozakura will play the protagonists Sakurako Umeyashiki and MuuMuu, respectively.

For his part, Hiroki Miyashita published the manga as a one-shot through Shonengahosha publisher's Young King Ours magazine in April 2019, and began serialization two months later. The author participated in other works such as "Ninkyou Tensei: Isekai no Yakuza Hime", "Kettou Saiban", "Ryuuma no Gagou", and "Seigi Keikan Monju", to mention a few.
Synopsis of Me and the Alien MuuMuu
MuuMuu, a cat-like alien from a distant galaxy, arrives on Earth. His goal is to learn about the technology of household appliances on Earth in order to recover the technology that his species has lost. The protagonist, Sakurako, has a typical college life, but everything changes with the arrival of MuuMuu! What begins as an unexpected cohabitation quickly turns into a whirlwind of chaotic events. The chemistry between Sakurako and MuuMuu leads to a super-spectacular comedic adventure, full of appliances and cats.
