On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels written by Sun Sun Sun and illustrated by Momoco, "Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian (Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Aalya-san)," the project's second promotional video was revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for July 3 in Japan and shows a snippet of the theme songs, including:

  • Sumire Uesaka performs the song "Himitsu no Kotoba", an original song in collaboration with KAF and the musical group ZOOKARADERU. The original was released in April 2023 to commemorate the announcement of the anime adaptation of the franchise. In fact, Sumire Uesaka herself will perform a different folk song for each of the endings of the episodes.

On the other hand, Sun Sun Sun began publishing the light novels through Kadokawa Publishing House's Sneaker Bunko imprint in February 2021 in Japan. A manga adaptation by Saho Tanamachi has been published on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket service since October 2022.
