A leak would confirm northern love in Oshi no Ko

In the last few hours, an alleged leaked panel of the popular manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, "Oshi no Ko", has become a trend due to the fact that it shows the scene of a kiss between siblings Aqua and Ruby Hoshino, something that was seen coming with the development of the most recent chapter of the work.

Let's remember that, to intimate their father and Ai Hoshino's murderer, Aqua is preparing a biographical film of her mother where she will reveal the whole truth of their lives. Consequently, the "Movie Arc" begins, with Ruby playing Ai Hoshino and Aqua playing Hikaru Kamiki, her father.

However, the fact that both twin brothers (though mentally still their past lives, i.e., Aqua is actually Goro Amemiya, the doctor who attended to Ai Hoshino's pregnancy before he was killed; and Ruby is actually Sarina Tendouji, Goro's terminally ill patient who was in love with him) are playing their parents implies that, At some point during the recordings, they were going to have to kiss.

And the most recent episode ended with a scene in which Ruby asks Aqua, if he finds a kiss scene with her so strange, to practice it at once, in the solitude of his apartment, to get used to it. And the leaked image shows the two finally kissing, but will it be true?

One might think that any artist could simply imitate Mengo Yokoyari's art (or currently even an AI can do) and create this panel, which would reduce the veracity of it. However, the "Oshi no Ko" artist made a complete rookie mistake. He took to Twitter to complain that they stopped sharing leaks of the manga, all but confirming that the panel is true.

It didn't take long for him to realize the tremendous mistake he had made, and since they started replying to the post with the leaked image, he immediately deleted it and wrote:

• "This morning I deleted a post in which someone posted an image of a chapter that had not yet been published in the corresponding section. Please stop posting spoilers in advance..."

Given that the image in question that was replied to in the comments of the post he deleted was the same one that had gone viral, Mengo Yokoyari would have confirmed that this is a real leak. Of course, there is always room for doubt, but the evidence is too much to disprove. And of course, there was no shortage of comments:

• "I can't say if it's fake or not given that it's extremely early, it looks like we'll have to wait and see."
• "Then Ai Hoshino's rebirth is near."
• "I hope it's real, and then we'll finally see everyone say they'll stop reading the manga for the hundredth time. And they'll come back anyway to read the next chapter."
• "It would be a pretty peak manga if this turns out to be real."
• "If it's fanart, it must be the most compelling fanart ever."
• "It must be fake, it's too early to have spoilers, and considering the source is from 4chan, I don't know what to say about it."
• "If it's fake, we have to go back to the guy who did this a manga author."
• "This is clearly false. If you're someone who pays attention to the little details, then you'll realize that at this point in the story, the stars in Aqua's eyes are black."
• "[In reply] Well, you don't pay much attention, they turned white after kissing her. The same thing happened with Ruby when she found out that Aqua is Gorou."
• "If I remember correctly, this is only done for the role they have to play at the time. If it's with multiple angles and close-ups, it wouldn't be easy to fake it properly. So a real one might be necessary. In any case, Aqua is able to be fast and still play the role that is needed."
• "At this point in the story, I'm not surprised that Ruby ends up doing this. Still, for Aqua to seem as surprised that she's bright and hopeful as she did at the beginning of the story is funny."
• "If you look closely, Ruby's ear looks suspiciously like Aqua's in chapter 30 when she kisses Akane. The artist probably took the pose of Aqua and Ruby from other chapters to create the scene. If it's fake, we have to give the artist an Oscar."
• "Make it true so that readers can say they're leaving it again only to blatantly come back for the next chapter."
