Wistoria: Wand and Sword announces second season

Through the official website for the anime adaptation of the manga written by Fujino Omori and illustrated by Toshi Aoi, "Wistoria: Wand and Sword (Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria), it was announced that the series will have a second season. Production details as well as the release date for this sequel will be announced soon.

The first season of the series was in charge of the ACTAS studios and Bandai Namco Pictures, and began its broadcast in July 2024 and had 12 episodes. Crunchyroll was in charge of its simultaneous broadcast in the West.

Fujino Omori, who is also the author of the franchise of "Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka? (DanMachi: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?)", began publication of the manga through Kodansha's Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in December 2020, where it is still in publication.

Synopsis of Wistoria: Wand and Sword

Will Serfort dreams of fulfilling the promise he made to a childhood friend and becoming Magic Vander, one of the powerful wizards who sit atop the Tower of Wizards. However, he is unable to cast the simplest of spells, forcing him to fight monsters from the dungeons to earn credits at Regarden Wizarding Academy. As if that were not enough, he is forced to test his sword skills against an abusive professor.
