Oshi no Ko delays his final episode

The final episode of the second season of the "Oshi no Ko" anime will air on October 6 at 7:00 p.m. (Japan time) via TOKYO MX and ABEMA (which corresponds to a delay from its originally scheduled date of October 2). What has caught the attention of fans is that, unlike the usual Wednesday time slot at 11:00 p.m., the last chapter will be broadcast in "prime time", a prime time for Japanese television, something extremely unusual for an anime series.

In Episode 23, titled "Reunion", the characters traveled to Miyazaki, the place where Gorou and Sarina once lived, and where Aqua and Ruby were born. During the development of the episode, the members of B-Komachi, along with Aqua and Akane, are faced with a series of revelations, and in the final moments, Ruby finds a corpse next to a keychain that she had given to Gorou, leaving viewers in suspense for the final episode.
Episode 24 promises to resolve this shocking cliffhanger. The episode will not only be broadcast on TOKYO MX and ABEMA, but will also be broadcast on 35 television channels throughout Japan, and will be available on various streaming platforms starting October 7.
In addition, to prepare fans for the season's denouement, a special broadcast will be held on September 30 at 9:00 p.m. on YouTube, titled "Ichigo Production Kyuutoushitsu ~ Private Arc~". In this event, Yurie Igoma (voice of Ruby) and Rumi Ookubo (voice of Mem-Cho) will go over the most important moments of the season and share their expectations for the final episode.

'Oshi no Ko', based on the manga by Aka Akasaka and with art by Mengo Yokoyari, began serialization in April 2020 in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine. The story follows Gorou, a gynecologist who after a tragic event reincarnates as the son of his favorite idol, Ai Hoshino, and decides to enter the complicated world of entertainment. The first season of the anime aired between Spring-2023 (April-June), and its second season has been airing since July.
